The article discusses the issues related to the equal opportunity in education for children around the world. One could hardly argue that the world is free of prejudice or persecution. Hunger, malnutrition, and disease continue to be serious problems. One arena in which the world can demonstrate advancement is the field of education. This advancement has been made in spite of the obvious handicaps frequently cited in the development economics literature such as population growth, civil war, disease, political and economic inexperience of local leaders, and poverty. The article further presents information on external aid or foreign aid. This external aid is for the children deprived of education in the poor nations of the world. It has the objective of providing international equality in education. Public aid is being targeted to support public functions and public goods in health and education on the grounds that it is morally right for children of all nations to have equal opportunity. Children around the world deserve the same opportunity to attend school and to learn what the world offers.
