This research examines the history of the right to know movement that started at the onset of the Cold War. Seeing the movement as an organized reaction of journalists against the Cold War culture of secrecy, this study attempts to address the questions of how and why the movement was organized and initiated; it also addresses what implications and lessons can he drawn from the movement's history.
