On May 5, 1941, the Bishop of Ljubljana, Gregorij Rožman, founded the Diocesan Committee to Aid Exiled Priests and appointed Canon Anton Vovk as its chairman, who was then the mainstay of the committee for all four years of its operations. The task of the committee was to register all the priests of the Diocese of Ljubljana, who were exiled and those from the Diocese of Lavantine who found themselves on its territory, to collect help for them and to aid them. They helped them with accommodation, clothing, food, ceremonial objects and all other essentials. The article presents the functioning of the committee, the fate of its archives and provides a presentation of the functioning of the committee, which was written by the priest Viktor Kragl in 1947 and 1948. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
