; moral letters to Lucyliusz Seneka Younger, are a valuable testimony to the in-depth reflection of their author on the issue of death as the extreme point of human life. At the same time, they remain an attempt to give the reader the opportunity to respond properly to what is imminent and definitive. The analysis of my interest in this Article of letters 24, 26, 30, 70, 77 and 82 makes it clear that his life is the most important factor that, in the view of ancient philosopher, determines the appropriate attitude of a human to death. In this context, it defines death as a particular complement to active life, i.e. valuable in both moral and intellectual terms. Such an approach also makes it possible to understand its specific interpretation of death, which, although it remains indifferent in the eyes of the stand’s views, is similar to good, valuable and, under certain conditions, can be the subject of human efforts.
