Analyze a sentence syntactically is to delimit in a logical essential terms, integrant and accessory of the sentence, assigning them a peculiar classification. The present work with the title "Syntactic Analysis of Simple and Complex Sentences: Study Applied to Students of Grade 10 at Escola do Magistério do Lucapa", results from an investigation made with the objective of Proposing methodological activities for syntactic analysis of sentences in Grade 10 at EML. We are guided by the following question: How to contribute to the learning of syntactic analysis of simple and complex sentences in Grade 10 of Escola do Magistério do Lucapa? Our research is descriptive in nature, having quantitative and qualitative results with implication on the use of questionnaire to students as an instrument and interview to teachers as a technique of data collection. To achieve the objective we used methods such as description and observation. The results obtained in this research, reveal that, there is a great index of difficulties in the students of Grade 10 of Escola do Magistério do Lucapa when syntactically analyzing a simple or complex sentence, resulting, on the one hand, from the little stimulus inherited in the previous classes and, on the other hand, from the lack of efficient techniques and methods to be selected by the teachers since what the program guides is insufficient, to know how to make the choice of what is useful to facilitate student learning and give sustainability to the intended. With the observation of classes and the application of the control group to teachers, it seemed clear that there is a certain lack of knowledge or outdatedness regarding syntactic analysis. ; Analisar uma frase sintaticamente é delimitar de forma lógica os termos essenciais, integrantes e acessórios da frase, atribuindo-lhes uma classificação peculiar.
