Professor Ze'ev Dorman talks about growing up in an Israeli Kibbutz, and his early contact with music. He remembers his time in the army, and involvement in certain wars such as the Six Day War, Suez Canal skirmish, and Yom-Kippur War. He goes on to talk about his long career in the music world working with the Philharmonic in Israel, performing in South America, England, and other places around the world. His teaching method at times was considered too strict for the individual students, but he wholeheartedly believes that challenging them can only make them succeed later in life. Dorman goes on to talk about the influences that his family had on his early life, and how he is still friends with so many important musicians. ; World War II; The Cold War Period; Yom Kippur War
