V Moldavskej jaskyni, ležiacej pri meste Moldava nad Bodvou, sa počas realizácie záchranného archeologického výskumu objavili desiatky archeologicky a historicky cenných predmetov. Okrem archeologických pamiatok z doby bronzovej a laténskej sú významné aj šperky (prstene, náušnica), železné predmety (ostrohy, nožíky, pracky, strelka šípu, klince a pod.) a numizmatické pamiatky z konca 12. a začiatku 13. storočia. Ide o mince (poldenár, denáre a brakteáty) uhorských kráľov Ondreja II., Bela III., ako aj kúsky striebornej suroviny a olovené závažia. Nájdené predmety boli osobným majetkom ľudí, obyvateľov súdobej Moldavy nad Bodvou a blízkeho okolia, ktorí sa počas vpádu mongolsko-tatárskych vojsk v roku 1241 ukryli do jaskyne a tu boli nútení určitý čas prežívať. Ich utrpenie dokladajú 4 preskúmané hroby so sprievodnými nálezmi z 13. storočia (črepy, železná dýka) a početné fragmenty ľudských kostí z viacerých rozrušených hrobov. These included archaeological finds from the Bronze Age, the La Tene Age, jewellery (rings, earrings), iron objects (spurs, knives, arrowheads, wedges, etc.) and numismatic finds dating to the late 12th century and the early 13th century. The latter were coins (half-dinars, dinars and bracteates) of Hungarian kings Andrew II and Bela III, pieces of silver and lead weights. The objects belonged to the people who once inhabited the medieval Moldava nad Bodvou and its surroundings who, during the Mongolian-Tartar wars in 1241, found shelter in the cave and were forced to spend some time there. Their hardship is documented by four revealed graves with finds from the 13th century (ceramic fragments, iron dagger) and numerous pieces of human bones from several graves. The refuge of the ancient inhabitants of ...
