; Ichqern, also Ichkern, Ichkiren (išqirr en ber.), more rarely AYT Ichqern, the name of one of the sub-federations of the AYT Oumalou, or ‘Gens de l’Ombre’ to speak tamazight (Central Morocco). In heroic times, the man of the Ichqern (u-šqir), a historically independent transhumant pastor, guerrier and rider emeritated, but good at his hours, perfectly embodied the adage: ‘All Berbère with his rifle is King!’ The wife of the Ichqern (tašqirt), on the other hand, went to be ‘jo.
