Newsletter of the North Dakota School for the Deaf. ; party at the Memorial Building from 6:30 to 12. Many people were there to eat. After Daryl and I went back home, we got our basketball and went back to the gym and some boys and girls played with it. S ime of them were tired and stopped playing after a while. A go:, Dan 1, and I played cards. The name of tie game was 500 Rummy and I won. After that Daryl and I went home. —Duane Knutson A Basketball Tourney December 22, my family went to McVille to watch a championship game. The Unity Spartans played a game against the McVille Black- hawks and McVille beat the Spartans for third place. Then the championship game started. The Michigan Bulldogs played against the Warwick Warriors lor the championship. Thc score was 35-33 at halftime. Then the Warriors won the championship, 79-70. I was so disappointed that the Bulldogs; took second place. Thc Lakota Raiders took fifth place and Hope took sixth in the same tournament On January 16, I hope that the NDSD Bulldogs will beat the Michigan Bulldogs in their battle against each other! —Alana Daws; Christmas Vacation December 21, my mom and dad came to Devils Lake and my mom went to White Mart. My dad cam's to our campus to take Wayne, Cindy and me home after the program was over. The we went to town to look for mom. We arrived at Hazen at about 7 p.m. I was tired because of sitting in the car for such a long time. 1 was happy to see my sisters again. Christmas Day, my family went to grandma's and grandpa's house to open many presents. I got a blue blouse from my Godmother plus a robe from my Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas. 1 like to wear it often. New Year's Day, I watched a football game on television. My aunt came to our house and we ate some pork. —Lynette Tesky ELEVENTH GRADE A Good Time I went home from Devils Lake and stayed at home about 18 days. I looked up at a string of blinking colored lights above the fireplace and saw Santa Claus who rode in a red sleigh on the wall. There was a beautiful Christmas tree ...
