Tekrarlayan İdrar Yolu Enfeksiyonu Deneyimleyen &CCedil;ocuklarda Hijyen Uygulamaları. (Turkish)

Objective: The aim of the study was to identify the hygienic habits and alternative application methods of the mothers of the children who were diagnosed for repeated urinary tract infection (UTI). Method: The study was conducted with the 68 mothers of 0-5 age group children who were diagnosed for repeated UTI at the pediatric polyclinic of a state hospital in the Eastern Black Sea region. The study is descriptive, and the data were obtained between February 1 and March 1, 2009. The mothers of the children who had anatomical disorders, long-term treatments because of other chronic diseases, and urinary catheter were excluded.Results: The relationships between mother's age and her way of cleaning the child; frequency of the child's diagnosis for UTI and gender of the child, breast feeding, laundry detergent,diapering, mother's habit of dressing the child with socks, and regular use of antibiotics; and education and regular use of antibiotics and alternative treatment approach were found to best statistically significant (p<0.05). The majority of the mothers stated that they gave their children onion juice as an alternative therapy, and it was found that there was a statistically significant difference between their educational background and their use of alternative therapies (P <0.05). Conclusion: Hygienic habits and use of alternative therapies of the mothers of the children who were diagnosed for urinary tract infection are consistent with the findings in the related literature. Amaç: &CCedil;alışma, tekrarlayan idrar yolu enfeksiyonu (İYE) tanısı almış çocukların annelerinin hijyenik alışkanlıklarını ve alternatif uygulama yöntemlerini belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yöntem: &CCedil;alışma, Doğu Karadeniz B*ouml;lgesi'ndeki bir devlet hastanesinin çocuk polikliniğine kayıtlı ve tekrarlayan İYE tanısı alan çocukları'n (0-5 yaş) anneleri ile yapılmıştır. &CCedil;alışma tanımlayıcı nitelikte olup, veriler 1 Şubat-1 Mart 2009 tarihleri arasında toplanmıştır. Anatomik bozukluklara sahip, başka kronik hastalıkları nedeniyle uzun s¨re tedavi alan ve idrar sondasına sahip çocukların anneleri çalışma dışı bırakıldıktan sonra 68 anne çalışmaya alınmıştı'r. Bulgular: Annenin yaşı ile çocuğu temizleme şekli; idrar yolu enfeksiyonu tanısı alma sıklı011F;ı ile ç,ocuğun cinsiyeti, anne sütü alma, ç, amaşırların yıkanmasında kullanıllan malzeme, bezlenme, annenin çorap giydirme alışkanlığı ve d¨zenli antibiyotik kullanma; d¨zenli antibiyotik hullanımı ile eğitim; alternatif tedavi yaklaşımı ile eğitim arasındaki ilişkiler anlamlı olarak bulunmuştur (p<0,05). Annelerin büyük çoğunluğu alternatif tedavi olarak çocuklarına soğan suyunu içirdiklerini ifade etmiş olup, alternatif yöntem kullanma ile eğitimleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark olduğ belirlenmiştir (p<0,05). Sonuç: İdrar yolu enfeksiyonu tanını alan çocukların annelerinin hijyenik alışkanlıkları ve kullandıkları alternatif tedavi yöntemleri literat¨ ile uyumlu bulunmuştur. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
