Chapter seven of the book "The Children of the New Forest" is presented. It focuses on the ill health of Colonel Beverley's servant Jacob Armitage, due to which Beverley's son Edward is assigned to go to Lymington to sell venison. It is set in the time of English civil war. Jacob has advised Edward not to reveal his identity to the outer world. Edward and his brother Humphrey had high respect for each other and an angry word never passed between them.
