The book "Exit. Why People Leave. Global Migration in the 21st Century" by Thomas Faist addresses the transnational social question. The author argues that migration transforms this question from a national to a transnational issue. The book provides an overview of current approaches and insights in migration research and analyzes the role of migration policies as consequences of state responses to the social question. The author suggests pursuing a "fair migration policy" that takes into account the perspectives of all parties involved. The impacts of climate change on migration are mostly indirect and amplify other migration factors such as violent ethnic conflicts. Achieving global climate goals requires a new order in the international state system. A transformation of the state system is necessary to prevent the climate catastrophe and regulate migration globally. [Extracted from the article]
Das Buch "Exit. Warum Menschen aufbrechen. [Extracted from the article]
