Kropotkin's remarks on social evolution and ethics are still of considerable interest, and generate new starting points. Thanks to Kropotkin the extreme importance of "mutual support" as a prevailing factor in the evolution of the species, has been emphasized. The Russian scientist considers as "normal" the struggle between and not within species. lie shows how solidarity, mutual support and sociality is the rule within species and not a constant struggle between its members; and how this fact causes an increase in the longevity of its members. Kropotkin considers that social life is not the fruit of man's action, but that man himself is the fruit of social life; therefore the very form of organization is an expression of the degree of mutual support and of its equity.
