The American entry into World War I, although profoundly affecting the entire film industry, had a particularly interesting impact on the output of one small New York studio, Kiever Komedies. While other studios busied themselves with anti-German and propagandistic films, Kiever concentrated more on the war's intrusive influence on the day-to-day lives of Americans at home.
