A new report from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) discusses the impact of gasless vNOTES (vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery) compared to traditional vNOTES on hemodynamic profiles and outcomes in patients with benign gynecological disease. The study aims to determine if gasless vNOTES is a safer and more effective treatment option. The research is a single-center, prospective, single-blind, randomized controlled clinical trial that will recruit 120 patients who will be randomly assigned to either the traditional vNOTES group or the gasless vNOTES group. The primary outcome is vital signs at different time points, and secondary outcomes include surgical conversion rate, duration of surgery and anesthesia, anesthetic consumption, and postoperative complications. This study is the first randomized controlled trial to compare the impacts of gasless vNOTES and traditional vNOTES on hemodynamic profiles and outcomes in patients with benign gynecological disease.
