Recently, Antarctica has been considered as a natural laboratory where the effects of global warming can be observed clearly. The importance of climate change monitoring studies to be carried out in the Antarctica continent is increasing due to the global warming caused by the deterioration of the radiative balance and the melting of the glaciers accordingly. In this context, scientific studies carried out in Antarctica are of great importance for making plans for climate protection and determining the fate of our planet and humanity. In this field, Türkiye carries out important scientific studies within the scope of the Turkish Antarctic Scientific Expeditions (TAE; Turkish Antarctic Expedition). In this study, the glacier volume determination carried out during the TAE-6 expedition with GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) measurements in Horseshoe Island, Antarctica, within the scope of the bilateral cooperation project between the İstanbul Technical University and the Bulgarian Academy of Science (BAS) (TÜBİTAK Project No: 121N033), are presented. As a result of the measurements carried out on Horseshoe Island, the depth of the glacier bed and the underground topography were determined. It is aimed to monitor the change of the glacier volume over the years with the measurements to be made in the Turkish Antarctic Scientific Expeditions to be carried out in the following periods. Bu çalışmada, İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi ile Bulgaristan Bilimler Akademisi (BAS; Bulgarian Academy of Science) ikili iş birliği projesi kapsamında (TÜBİTAK Proje No:121N033) Antarktika, Horseshoe Adası'nda Jeoradar (GPR; Ground Penetrating Radar) ölçmeleriyle TAE-6 seferi sırasında gerçekleştirilen buzul hacmi tespiti çalışmaları aktarılmaktadır. Horseshoe Adası'nda gerçekleştirilen ölçmeler sonucunda buzul yatağı derinliği ve yer altı topografyası belirlenmiştir. İlerleyen dönemlerde gerçekleştirilecek olan Ulusal Antarktika Bilim seferlerinde yapılacak ölçmelerle, buzul hacminin yıllar içerisindeki değişiminin izlenmesi hedeflenmektedir.
