Inoculation is the most important practices in soybeans, but almost no information about this practice in Mato Grosso. The objective was to investigate the effect of different doses of liquid inoculants based on Bradyrhizobium japonicum, applied via seed in three soybean cultivars. The experimental design was randomized blocks (DBC) with four replications. The experimental design was factorial 5 x 3. The first factor, with five levels were the doses 0; 150; 300; 450 and 600 applied on 50 mL kg-1 of seed inoculum to a concentration of 5.0 x 109 cells per mL. The second factor were the three soybean cultivars (TMG 133 RR, 132 RR and TMG TMG 1179 RR). Variables, green leaves (chlorophyll content) were evaluated, plant height, stem diameter, shoot dry mass, root nodulation and productivity. The application rates up to 600 mL per 50 kg-1 seed, the inoculant does not change the chlorophyll content of soybean leaves. The cultivar TMG 1179 RR, the increase in inoculants doses increased the formation of nodules, but this increase did not mean increased productivity. The cultivar TMG 132 RR did not respond to inoculation, not changing the formation of nodules increase in inoculation doses, but it was more productive than TMG and TMG 133 RR 1179 RR in areas of the first year of soybean cultivation.
