The article discusses research which was conducted to determine the effectiveness of active and passive recovery interventions performed immediately after a training session had on muscle contractile properties using tensiomyography (TMG) and perceived muscle soreness 24 hours after the training. Researchers evaluated 31 soccer players. They found that there were no differences in heart rate and rating of perceived exertion between the active and passive groups.
