The structural and magnetic properties of TMGen (where TM = Mn,Co,Ni; n = 1-13) clusters have been investigated using spin polarized density functional theory. TM prefers to stabilize at the centre of the Gen cluster. The binding energy per atom of TMGen clusters increases with TM doping and the Ni doped Ge clusters have highest binding energy per atom. The total magnetic moment is localized mainly at the TM site and small magnetic moment is induced on Ge atoms. The magnetic moment shows magnetic quenching behavior in NiGen clusters except for n = 2, 4, 8. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
