Electrostatic waves in a two dimensional nonplanar geometry are studied in an unmagnetized, dissipative pair-ion plasma in the presence of weak transverse perturbations. The dissipation in the system is taken into account by incorporating the kinematic viscosity of both positive and negative ions in plasmas. The nonplanar Kadomtsev-Petviashvili-Burgers (KPB) as well as the Burgers Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (Burgers KP) equations are derived using the small amplitude expansion method and the range of applicability of both the equations are discussed. The system under consideration is observed to admit compressive rarefactive shocks. The present study may have relevance to understand the formation of two dimensional nonplanar electrostatic shocks in laboratory plasmas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
