The article presents a study on the synthesis of trimethyl-D-glucosamine (TMG)-chitotriomycin. TMG-chitotriomycin is known as the inhibitor of insects. The study has used the convergent approach in synthesizing the tetrasaccharide. The study reveals that the revision on the structure of TMG-chitotriomycin will provide access to natural metabolite which is essential to explore the inhibitions of acetylglucosaminidase (GlcNAcase).
