The article discusses the significance of soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive fusion protein attachment protein receptor (SNARE) on plant signaling and development. It is noted that SNARE proteins facilitate vesicle traffic by overcoming the immense dehydration forces associated with bringing two lipid bilayers together in an aqueous environment and by matching vesicles with their destinations. In addition, it is stated that the formation of a SNARE complex is sufficient to drive fusion.
