Key factors affecting quality of urban public passenger bus transport service.

Despite the Covid 19 pandemic, Vietnam is a developing country, experienced positive economic growth in 2020 which will lead to an increasing demand for transportation and transportation services especially in urban areas, like Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam's most populous city. However, the use of many personal vehicles (i.e., motorcycles or cars) would in turn increase fuel consumption and the emissions that cause environmental pollution. In addition, a greater transportation need also increases travel costs and reduces productivity. To attract passengers to public bus transport service than using other private vehicles in Ho Chi Minh City, this paper investigates critical factors affecting the quality of urban public passenger bus transport service. The research results showed that safety is the most critical factor affecting the quality of urban public passenger bus transport service in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
