Zugriff:
The purpose of this article is to show how the strictly orthodox interpretation of Jn 1:1 – offered by Luther – was challenged in the troubled period that from pietism resulted the first symptoms of German enlightenment, against the background of a critique of biblical texts that presents strong rationalistic assumptions in a singular author, such as Johann Christian Edelmann (1698-1767). Faced with the great mysteries of God, as the divine-humanity of Christ and the trinity of Persons in the one God, reason should stop and be content with revelation. This is Luther’s great appeal for a reason that goes beyond its possibilities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
