The article provides a preliminary analysis of the impact of geotechnical concept tools (GCT) integrated into a civil engineering course. The study used an inquiry-based pedagogy model which concentrates on student-centered learning activities and interactive skills. It describes the four content modules of the course: soil structure; seepage and effective stress; consolidation; and shear strength.
